Issue: 2006-01-03 Delta Dental Introduces Plan for UninsuredPARSIPPANY, N.J., January 3 – Delta Dental of New Jersey has recently launched its new dental access plan, Delta Dental Patient Direct (Patient Direct). The plan offers New Jersey individuals and families without dental insurance access to a network of participating Delta Dental dentists who agree to provide members dental care at fees no higher than the Patient Direct fee schedule, according to the company. We are proud to now offer an affordable option for those throughout the state who cannot afford or do not have access to dental insurance, such as senior citizens and those who are self-employed, said Dr. Scott Navarro, dental director of Delta Dental of New Jersey. Patient Direct allows us to expand our scope of service, offering individuals and families throughout the state direct access to oral healthcare and our network of credentialed dentists. Delta Dental said that the annual fee is $66 for individuals and $96 for families. Family membership includes spouse, all children under 23 years of age and any disabled child who is fully dependent. The company also explained that savings of up to 40 percent may be possible for general services such as routine cleanings, fillings, X-rays, dentures, orthodontia, cosmetic services and more.
