♦ New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J., July 16 – A dentist was fined $75,000 after pleading guilty to insurance fraud to get payments from insurance companies by falsifying dates of dental services.

Gary Reba, of Plainsboro also was placed on probation for three years by Superior Court Judge Fredrick DeVesa.

According to insurance fraud authorities, Reba changed the dates in which he provided the services for patients who had already exceeded the limits of their yearly dental insurance coverage.

The officials said that among the insurance companies that received the claims from Reba with the falsified dates were Horizon Blue Cross/BlueShield of New Jersey, Prudential, MetLife, and Aetna.
