New York State Insurance Department: Investigators Wanted

INVESTIGATOR POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Experienced individuals needed to plan, oversee
& conduct investigations of alleged
workers’ compensation, auto, arson, medical
& general insurance fraud leading to criminal
prosecution. May include travel and undercover
operations for extended periods &
irregular hours, including weekends.
Candidates must be willing to accept assignment
to Albany, Oneonta, Syracuse, Buffalo,
Rochester, Mineola or NYC metro areas.
Min. Quals.: 6 yrs. experience in the investigation
of insurance fraud in SIU Units of
insurance companies or in the conduct of
complex, multi-jurisdictional field investigations
preliminary to criminal litigation or to
criminal prosecution or 4 years experience
with a BA/BS degree. Supervisory positions
require a minimum of 8 years of experience,
one of which must have been in a supervisory
capacity. All investigators are designated
as peace officers and must be US citizens
and NYS residents. Valid driver’s license
required. Computer proficiency, including
knowledge of Microsoft Word preferred.
Approx. sal. $46K, higher for supervisory
