TRENTON, N.J., February 16 – New Jersey Manufacturers of Trenton is the top car insurance seller in New Jersey, latest figures show.

Manufacturers had 709,932 policies in force as of June 30, 2004, just barely ahead of Allstate and State Farm.

Allstate New Jersey had 690,190 policies, and State Farm 511,986.

Rounding out the top ten car insurers were Liberty Mutual Fire, 378,556; First Trenton Insurance with 246,003; GEICO with 217,587; High Point Safety, with 205,088; Mercury with 378,556; Palisades Safety 117,789, and Proformance Insurance, 114,498.
