Abe Weinzimer co-founded DCAP Insurance in 1982 and took the company public in 1997.
DCAP Insurance quickly became the largest chain of independent insurance franchises in the Northeast. In 2000 he and his original partner stepped down as President and Executive Vice President of the company. His partner left the company while Abe stayed on as a franchisee, running the five franchises he owned.
